Editorial policy

Who publishes this blog

ApplyGenius publishes practical job-search guidance, explanations of hiring research and directories of professional communities. The publisher also sells job-search software. Product notes are labeled separately from editorial advice; using ApplyGenius is not a prerequisite for following that advice.

Evidence and recommendations

Research articles link to the original study or the organization that collected the data. We retain the sample, period and important limitations. An observational difference is not presented as a causal effect. Advice, suggested schedules and message examples are editorial recommendations, not tested promises of interviews or referrals.

How the writing is produced

AI tools assist with research, drafting, editing and publication checks. We check factual claims against linked sources and revise for clarity, specificity and usefulness. The editorial byline identifies the publisher, not a fictional individual or a claim of firsthand experience. Examples are original and fictional unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Local guide selection

We choose recurring organizers, professional groups and public career resources with official information readers can check. We distinguish conferences, founder communities and industry discussions from hiring events. Inclusion is not an endorsement, a ranking or a promise of job availability. These guides use no paid placements or affiliate links.

Dates and corrections

Each article shows its publication date and the date its sources were checked. We update a page's modification date when its content changes substantially, not just to make it look fresh. Event schedules, eligibility and prices can change after our review; confirm them with the organizer before making plans.

Report a correction

Email admin@applygenius.co with the article URL, the passage in question and a reliable source or organizer update. We welcome factual corrections and useful omissions.
